The rules for using EduVille

1. Welcome to EduVille

EduVille is a free educational platform built to help African students learn, share knowledge, and prepare for their exams. By using EduVille, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

2. Who Can Use EduVille

EduVille is free and open to:

Students — anyone studying ZIMSEC, Cambridge, BEC, or similar curricula
Teachers — educators who want to share lessons, notes, and resources
Self-learners — anyone interested in learning independently

Users under 13 years old should have a parent or guardian's permission before creating an account.

3. Your Account

When you create an EduVille account, you agree to:

Provide accurate information (real name and email)
Keep your password secure and private
Not share your account with others
Notify us immediately if your account is compromised

You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Upload any content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
Post copyrighted material you do not own or have permission to share
Harass, bully, or threaten other users
Attempt to hack, spam, or disrupt EduVille
Use EduVille for any commercial purpose without permission
Impersonate another person or organization
Share false or misleading educational content

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal.

5. Content You Upload

When you upload videos, notes, or past papers to EduVille:

You keep ownership of your content
You give EduVille permission to display it on the platform
You confirm that you have the right to share it
You understand that other users can view and learn from it
You agree not to upload material that infringes on someone else's copyright

EduVille reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

6. Educational Content Disclaimer

EduVille provides educational content for learning purposes only. While we work hard to ensure accuracy:

Lessons, notes, and videos are created by teachers and users
Our AI tutor (TymerCRE) may occasionally make mistakes
Content should be used alongside official textbooks and teacher guidance
Always verify important information with your teachers or official sources

EduVille is not responsible for outcomes related to your exams or academic performance.

7. Copyright & Intellectual Property

EduVille respects the copyright of exam boards, publishers, and creators.

If you own content on EduVille and want it removed, please contact us at ttaroiwa@gmail.com with:

Your name and contact information
Description of the content
Proof of ownership
URL of the content on EduVille

We will respond within 7 days and remove content promptly if ownership is confirmed.

8. Free Service

EduVille is 100% free. We do not:

Charge for any content or features
Require payment details to access the platform
Show ads to students
Sell your data

We may offer optional premium features in the future, but the core platform will always be free.

9. Availability

EduVille is provided "as is" and may occasionally be unavailable due to:

Maintenance or updates
Internet connection issues
Third-party service outages (Supabase, GitHub, YouTube)

We are not liable for any inconvenience caused by downtime.

10. Privacy

Your use of EduVille is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we handle your data.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of EduVille means you accept the new terms.

12. Termination

You may delete your EduVille account at any time. We may also suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes will be handled in Zimbabwean courts.
